Miss Joanne Meszaros
My name is Joanne Meszaros and I am the library teacher at McDowell Early Learning School where I serve the staff and students in a PreK-K setting. I also teach library skills at Ellsworth Hill Elementary where I work with students in Grade 4. I feel very lucky to come to work each day and have the opportunity to inspire children with the wonderful world of books and literature! One of my colleagues gave me a Mary Englebreit poster that says, "My Books are Friends That Never Fail Me" and each day I try to help students realize that books can be true friends because even when no one seems to understand you, authors and illustrators have the ability to connect with you by using words and illustrations. I am a graduate of Kent State University. I also have a two year degree in Horticulture from Ohio State. I am passionate about plants and animals. I recently moved to Streetsboro where I live with my mom, my dog, and my mischievous bunny. Welcome to the library!
